StoneRoad's has over twenty-two years of experience in helping major Canadian organizations implement and manage BCM/OR programs. Activities have included but not been limited to: Business Impact Assessments (BIA), documenting Business Continuity Plans (BCP), planning and executing various tests and exercises, program maintenance activities, internal audits, project management, vendor management, Crisis Management & Communication strategies, and training & Awareness programs.
StoneRoad began in 2007 with Alex Fullick, MBCI, CBCP, CBRA, v3ITIL, aBCF, and he has over twenty-two years experience assisting organizations initiate and manage customized Business Continuity Management (BCM) / Organizational Resilience (OR) programs.
Alex has his MBCI certification with the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), his CBCP certification with the Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI), and has his aBCF certification with Adaptive Business Continuity (aBC). He also holds a certification in ITIL and Business Resiliency Auditing.
He has written several books on BCM / OR: Heads in the Sand, Made Again – Volumes 1 & 2, Business Impact Analysis, Testing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans, Watch Your Step, and From Thought to Consequence. All books are helpful manuals with tips and advice for hesitant organizations wanting to develop a BCM/OR program but don’t know where to start, or have difficulty understanding why their current program are falling flat.
His book "Testing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans" was identified by www.solutionreview.com as being one of "The 16 Most Essential Books for Business Continuity Directors" in September 2020.
Alex has sat on the Advisory Board of Directors for The International Emergency Management Society (TIEMS) since 2010 and in October of 2019, became a Certification Commissioner for the Disaster Recovery Institute Canada (DRIC).
Alex has also presented at conferences around the globe.
In his pare time Alex enjoys writing, kayaking, guitar, keyboards, hiking, and spending time at the cottage with friends and family.
